Cub Scouts have been inspired by Rudyard Kipling’s book “The Jungle Book”.
Cubs belong to a PACK and the adult leaders will usually have names based on Jungle Book Characters. The Leader of the pack is called AKELA (Leader of the Wolf Pack). Various parts of the Jungle Book are taught throughout Cub meetings. Each Six has a colour based on one of the brother wolves in The Jungle Book: Grey Six named after Grey Brother, White Six named after White Claw and Red Six is named after Red Fang.
The Jungle Book is an integral part of Cub Scouts and so it is most fitting that when Disney creates a live-animation ‘The Jungle Book’ movie in 2016, we celebrate this with a fundraiser viewing!
$5 from every ticket sold will go directly to our group!
Remember to put 10th Caulfield as your Cub Pack (and tell your family, friends, neighbours and everyone else to do the same) so that we get the $5 from the ticket sale.
