We love a happy ending, we love a happy beginning too. Really this has a bit of both. When two beloved leaders marry we smile. We’re happy. So much so we bought them a chunk of hardwood with a river running through it, and then engraved our love into it. We hope that whenever charcuterie calls them they think of us.
Thanks to all parents and Leaders for attending our annual get together to celebrate all things 10th Caulfield!

Every year we attend the City of Glen Eira Anzac Day Commemorative Service. We participate in a service run by the City of Glen Eira by escorting members of the Returned Services League (RSL) and lay a wreath at the Cenotaph.
Matt Minski was officially presented his Baden Powell award at a ceremony at Government House last Saturday. The first photo below are with the Governor’s representative for the day (given she was ill) and Brendan Watson, the second with my fellow Crew members who also received their Queen Scout award, and lastly with the Glen Eira Stonnington attendees on the day.

Yesterday Matt was officially awarded his Baden Powell Award at a Ceremony at 1st/3rd Cheltenham Scout Hall where his Rover crew (Everest Le Page Rover Crew) meet. The Baden Powell award is the highest Rover achievement. We listened to Matt’s long journey to complete this award. We heard from people who have been part of Matt’s scouting life since he was a scout (very amusing). To honour this occasion (which is a first for 10th Caulfield) a honour board will be mounted in our hall with Matt’s name proudly on display as it’s first recipient.
Congratulations Matt on this major scouting achievement. We are proud of you and count ourselves lucky to have you and your boundless Scouting enthusiasm in our midst.
The honour board was kindly donated by an anonymous 10th Caulfield family with kind thanks to that family.
Mish from Mish’s Dishes also donated all her time to prepare a sumptuous afternoon tea and amazing cake for this event.
Last night we had a fantastic night of fun and trivia. MC’s for the evening Zach and Jeremy asked 6 rounds of questions interspersed with hilarious games that had the whole room laughing and competing for prizes galore. Mazel tov to the Overall winners The Grey Wolves for their trivia prowess.
A HUGE thank you to Rachael Bayajo for organising the prizes and Steve Silver for organising the evening. With much support from Jeremy, Michael, Gavin and Symona.

The Hapatkah Rover Crew ran a fantastic and fun science program at cubs last Tuesday. The cubs were split into 3 groups then participated in various science experiments and play fun science themed games. Thanks to the Rover crew for putting in a huge effort to ensure the night ran well and the cubs enjoyed themselves.
